Do you know the definition of oppression?

It is that a month has passed with you and me

 Sharing not a word,

But sharing all the misery..

Under the vast night we meet.. Every night

Burdened by our thoughts, travels, and wounds

Our undead past promises us the rekindle of a long gone love

Until we get overwhelmed by the our reality of deprivation

The moon hides its face from the lovers

Crying it is on their cruelty

And we cry along.

Do you know the definition of Oppression?

It is the fact that when the human being is touched by love and possessed by it,

The whole universe turns to an unanswered question

A lover will try to find truth, or he will believe every lie

But will never submit to will of God..

Tomorrow –on the day of judgment- we will be displayed barefooted in front of Allah,

And all lies will be revealed. .

Do you know the definition of Oppression?

It is the fact that I used to ignore your feelings

And never gazed twice upon the light in your room, and your open window

Saying to myself: oh crazy one, what have gotten into you, can’t you love once more?

Until I was overwhelmed by the light of your being

And the bird inside my yearned for flight..

But here we are,

On another last, silent date

Alas! I’ve never thought that a balanced life is a possibility without you; it is not.

Do you know the definition of Oppression?

It is the fact that here is a heart filled with blood and life

But you are not with it.
